Dalton bass player James Chesters, a 29-year-old senior project engineer, married Amanda Inglis, a 25-year-old deputy dental practice manager on Saturday July 16 at a stunning country venue.

How they met: James used to play the bass guitar in local band Atlas. Amanda was watching the band play a gig at the Derby in Barrow and immediately fancied James. A friend of James's told him that Amanda rather liked the look of him and so he walked straight over, bought her a drink and asked her out on a date.

Proposal: On the couple's third anniversary, James took Amanda for a night at Abbey House Hotel and proposed there. James thought it would be a huge surprise and was expecting tears and the works. However, Amanda already had her suspicions after seeing a few texts between James and her sister discussing ring sizes. She was over the moon though.

Venue: Park House Barn in Heversham, Milnthorpe.

Theme: Laid back, bohemian and botanical.

Bride's outfit: A figure-hugging , backless Pronovias gown from Marrime in Kendal.
