Dalton girl Joanna Molloy, a 25-year-old conference and banqueting manager at Abbey House Hotel in Barrow married Sean Battle, a 29-year-old pastry chef at Uplands Hotel in Cartmel on Saturday July 9, 2016. The couple are now beginning their life together as husband and wife in Barrow.

How they met: The couple worked together at Chequers Hotel in Joanna's home town of Dalton and met through mutual friends in 2009. Sean was working in pastry while Joanna was a wedding co-ordinator. They started dating in 2010.

Proposal: In July 2014, the couple were out for a meal in Upstairs at the Grill, Chester. Sean booked a table at the restaurant but was unable to get down on one knee as the tables were so close together. However, Joanna asked him to do it again properly when they left the restaurant.

Venue: St Paul's Church, Grange-over-Sands.

Theme: A colour scheme of royal and cornflower blues.

Bride's Outfit: Joanna wore a Mori Lee dress from The Bridal Collection, Lancaster. The dress had a sweetheart neckline, crystal and diamante detailing in the in the top, a laced back and an organza skirt with small detailed embellishments. She also wore a small head piece also from The Bridal Collection.

Groomsmen: Lee Hardman and John Battersby (best men), Haydyn Battle (page boy).

Bridesmaids: Nicola Molloy (maid of honour) and Sarah Battle.

Flowers: Alyson at POSH Flowers, Rawlinson Street, Barrow. The bridal bouquets were made up of Memory Lane roses, Sweet Avalanche, Norma Jean roses, ivory freesias and pink lisianthus.

The gentlemen wore Sweet Avalanche roses in their buttonholes to match.

Transport: A Bentley provided by John Wilson.

Reception: The Grange Hotel. A three-course traditional wedding breakfast.

Table settings: Tall vases filled with gel balls with an arrangement of mixed foliage, ivory roses, pale blue hydrangeas and blue delphiniums on top along with table stationery by Special Occasions.

Favours: Handmade chocolate truffles made by the groom and wrapped in organza, favour boxes decorated by the bride, the maid of honour and the mother of the bride.

Cake: A four-tier confection made by the groom's Auntie Linda. The delicious tiers were made from fruit cake, Oreo and amaretto cake, carrot cake and Victoria sponge.

First Dance: The One - Kodaline.

Entertainment: A DJ set by Stu Rogers.

Honeymoon: A minimoon in Amsterdam and the couple also have a longer honeymoon planned for March 2017 when they will visit Dubai and Mauritius.
