A group of businesses in Barrow have teamed up to raise nearly £18,000 for a local hospice.

It was revealed on Monday night that BNI Endeavour was able to donate a total of £17,858 to St Mary's Hospice as a result of fundraising throughout the last financial year.

A spokesperson from St Mary's said: "As we are the charity member of the networking and referral group, each year BNI Endeavour Furness set themselves the target of raising a minimum of £15,000 for our hospice.

"We are so lucky to have their support - thank you so much!"

BNI, a networking and referral organisation based in Barrow, works to unite businesses across the region.
