A group of teachers and staff members at a school in Barrow are ditching the classroom for a mountain expedition.
The team at Greengate Junior School will be attempting to climb the Old Man in Coniston all in the effort of raising money for St Mary's Hospice, which is based in Ulverston.

The current fundraising goal is set at £1,000 with the teaching staff hopeful that the local community can rally around them.
One of the members taking part said: "We are taking on the challenge to remember loved ones taken too early that have been magnificently cared for by the amazing staff at St Mary's Hospice.
"We want to thank the hospice for making the time spent by patients and their families special and dignified.
"The hospice supports so many families, so we want to say a small thank you for everything they do."
