A NUMBER of job opportunities are currently up for grabs at a Starbucks drive-thru set to open in Barrow.

A new branch of the major coffee chain is due to open in the Asda car park at Walney Road Retail Park after a planning application was given the green light in November.

The Starbucks branch, which will have an indoor seating area and an outdoor seating/terrace area, is to be situated on the eastern side of the Asda car park.

It is said to be bringing 20 new jobs to Barrow.

Among those, are the roles of store manager, assistant manager and shift supervisor which are currently being advertised online.

Recruiters are looking for a ‘passionate’ store manager who can ‘lead, inspire and motivate [their] team’.

A spokesman said: “Store managers are the heart and soul of our stores and keep sprits high; you are able to stay focussed on delivering excellent standards and great products all whilst keeping an eye on your targets.”

The opening of a Barrow store follows the launch of a Starbucks drive-thru in Ulverston which swung open its doors earlier this year.

The store opened in the Beehive Business Park in March, creating 20 new jobs for the area.
