CHEF Dave Myers has announced that he will be starring alongside his sidekick and co-star Si King at a popular food and drink festival.

The Yorkshire Dales Food & Drink Festival returns to Funkirk Farm, Skipton on July 21-23, 2023.

The duo, known as The Hairy Bikers, are long-term friends of the UK’s largest food and drink festival and have appeared almost every year since it launched in 2016.

Dave will be joining Si on stage on Saturday, July 22, for three cookery demonstrations.

It will be a great opportunity to get up close and watch the duo create their favourite dishes, inspiring the crowds in the unique ‘Le Gruyere’ Big Top Theatre Kitchen.

Dave was unfortunately unable to attend the festival last year due to his ongoing battle against cancer.

The diagnosis meant that he had to drop out of TV and festival appearances, with Si attending on his own, while he underwent treatment.

However, appearing in a recent episode of the How to Be 60 podcast with Kaye Adams, the biker revealed he would soon be returning to filming.

Dave Myers said: “I am really excited to be back alongside Si at the Yorkshire Dales Food & Drink Festival, it’s one of the highlights of our year. It’s going to be just like the old times, cooking our favourite dishes, using the finest local produce available and bantering with Kingy.”
