A WOMAN charged with seven counts of perverting the course of justice claimed a Barrow man was paid to allow people to have sex with her.

Summaries of police interviews with Eleanor Williams were read out at Preston Crown Court on Friday.

Williams, of Teasdale Road, Walney, said she 'got involved with the wrong people' when she was young.

She said she was introduced to Mohammed Ramzan and other older men.

Williams claimed that Mr Ramzan 'begged her' to have sex with one of his friends as a 'massive favour'.

"Some of the men who paid Rammy to have sex with her had sexual fetishes for which they paid more money," said prosecutor Barbara Webster, summing up Williams' interviews.

"She explains that one guy liked them [the girls] in stripey socks."

Ms Webster said: "Initially the men that abused her were men that worked in takeaways but, in the end, it was everybody."

Williams claimed that she was not allowed to wash when she wanted and recalled a girl who had wanted to wash her hair because it was dirty.

She said the girl had had her head shaved.

Williams said she was taken to parties and made to have sex with men, the court heard.

She said that the parties were usually organised by Mr Ramzan and that 'everything had to be run past 'Rammy''.

Ms Webster also said Williams claimed she was forced to take spice and was 'battered' if she refused.

Williams said she held down three jobs but claimed the men involved in the trafficking operation took some of her earnings from her.

She also claimed they attempted to sell her in Amsterdam. However, the man who tried to buy her was only able to pay €7,000 of the €25,000 fee, the court was told.

Ms Webster said that Williams claimed she would receive messages about the 'parties' via Snapchat and she had no choice but to 'obey'.

Each new party, said Williams in a police interview, would bring with it new men.

She said that, at one stage, she was bought a plane ticket from Manchester to Pakistan. However, she got off the train at a station before the airport and headed back to Barrow.

Williams denies all seven charges.

The trial continues.
