A BARROW AFC fan is visiting every League Two club in the country in five days.

Steve Herbert, chair of the Bluebirds Trust, will be starting a 9am on Sunday and travelling around 2,500 miles continuously by bus around the nation

He will be raising money for Step up and Play which is an initiative to make sure that every child in Barrow has access to local sports clubs by funding transport, coaching and attendance.

The money will also subsidise families going to away games by making transport for under sixteens free. Steve said the cost will be more expensive this year due to the price of diesel and that the trust needs 'all the money that it can get.' They have already made £1,000.

Steve said: "I am going to work my way up and then down the country as best I can. I suppose I will get so tired I will sleep on the bus no problem but making sure I stay clean will be a challenge with no hotels."

When he finishes the challenge Steve thinks he will feel 'exhausted but hopefully elated.'
