THE whole sixth form turned out to give leavers from Sandside Lodge School a graduation night to remember. Six teenagers are leaving the Ulverston school at the end of the academic year to go on to further education but the occasion was enjoyed by 21 sixth formers plus members of staff.
PROMS AT OTHER SCHOOLS:
After a meal at Chequers Hotel, in Dalton, the leavers and friends took to the dance floor to party the night away.
Headteacher Susan Gill spoke of her immense pride at the sixth formers. "We're sorry to see them leave but they grow up and mature and are ready to leave," said Mrs Gill.
"Probably the emotions that are predominant are we're very proud of them. It was a really lovely evening and the school council helped organise it, which is why we're so proud of them."
