FURNESS Cricket Club's junior table tennis team enjoyed a superb season in the Barrow and District Table Tennis League Division Two as they gained promotion.
They finished runners-up to Furness CC A, who were the only team to beat them in the entire campaign.
The junior team finished 40 points ahead of the third-placed side.
Ben McDonald was the biggest winner among the side, who also drew against Furness CC A in their reverse match, to add to 16 victories.
The 13-year-old took 47 wins from 54 matches, with Ryan Cotton, 15, claiming 43 from 54 and Matty Rigg, 13, 41 from 54.
Club coaches John Harrison and Charlie Brown were pleased with the progress of all the juniors and are busy preparing their training and coaching schedule for the summer in readiness for their debut in the top division next season.
The club would thanked the parents for their help, along with Frank Sloan, of Cumbria Autos, for his continuing support.
