FURNESS table tennis ace Ben McDonald made an eight-hour round-trip to Burton-upon-Trent worthwhile as he landed the Two-star tournament.
Despite the long journey and coming up against some quality opposition, the Furness CC player won the under-13s title, adding yet another trophy to his rapidly growing collection.
McDonald's form across the season was recognised at the end-of-season presentation night for the Garstang Table Tennis Club, where he also competes.
The Barrow youngster won the Most Improved Player gong for the second year running and was also named joint-Player of the Season to cap a great night.
