GREG Barnard-Mackenzie showed a clean pair of heels to storm to victory in the annual Glaxo Hoad Hill Harriers Christmas Pudding one-mile run run.
Competing for the Walney Wind Cheetahs Cubs, Barnard-Mackenzie scorched away from the field to win in a time of six minutes, 16 seconds.
He was closely followed over the line by Hoad Hill's James Curbishley and Nathan Richie
In what were perfect conditions for running, a host of other talented youngsters also made it home in under seven minutes.
The winner of the girls' race was Hoad Hill's Carrie Williamson, with Isabella Gordon runner-up and Amelia Thompson, of the host club, landing third place.
Budding runners of all ages took part in the festive fun run, with representatives from Hoad Hill, Walney Wind Cheetahs, Parkside Panthers and Duddon Dragons getting over the line and earning their Christmas pudding mementos.
Race director Louise Thomspon said: "It was great race seeing children and parents alike enjoying this family event."
