Midfielder Jason Taylor does not want Barrow AFC's players to experience the sort of frustration they felt after their 3-2 defeat at Stockport County on Tuesday when they face Yeovil Town tomorrow.

The Bluebirds were unable to build on a more solid defensive performance in their win against Eastleigh last week, as they allowed the Hatters to get in on goal all to easily for the majority of the match at Edgeley Park.

A particularly slack start to the second half led to the half-time lead that was given to them by Scott Quigley being overturned and although John Rooney equalised, more poor marking led to Adam Thomas condemning AFC to their third loss in four games this season.

Taylor said: "To be honest, that was not a happy changing room. The goals we conceded on the night were not acceptable, people need to be doing more to stop their men from scoring.

"We've just got to be braver and make sure we do everything to stop our man from scoring a goal.

"At the minute, we're not doing it enough and we're not good enough in both boxes and we're getting punished for it."

Barrow will be up against a Yeovil side who have recovered well from losing at Barnet on the opening day, with their 3-1 win at Ebbsfleet United on Tuesday taking them up to seventh in the table.

There's some added interest to the clash against the Glovers, who the Bluebirds faced in their first-ever National League fixture 40 years ago this weekend, with BT Sport marking the anniversary by covering the game at Holker Street.

Taylor said: "We need to bounce back and go and put up a performance in front of our own fans.

"Our away fans travelled for us really well to Stockport - some great support for us again - so we need to put things right at the weekend.

"We need to win at all costs because it's not good enough that we've lost three and won one and we need to address it.

"It's going to be a tough game because they're going to have some good players. I've not been seeing who's in their team, but we need to be positive against them and stick together."

If there is one positive from the last week, it is the way Quigley has found his feet with the Bluebirds by scoring in back-to-back games.

The former Blackpool striker followed up his match-clinching goal against Eastleigh last week with a well-taken opener in the early stages at Stockport.

"It will have been nice for him to have got off the mark last week and now he's scored in the last couple," Taylor said.

"He probably should have done better with another chance that he made out of nothing late on in the second half, but he has been positive and hopefully he can keep chipping them in."
