LOAN player Otis Khan is among a number of Football League club men Paul Cox hopes to add to his ranks.

Khan saw his spell at Holker Street end last week, but the AFC boss is keen for him to return.

Talks are also ongoing with Sheffield United over the young winger.

He arrived at Holker Street in October and netted four times in nine appearances, the last of which came against Southport on December 28.

A groin strain meant Khan returned early to Bramall Lane, but Cox is keeping in touch with the South Yorkshire club, hoping he and possibly some of his club-mates will be heading back to Furness.

“I’ve had discussions with Sheffield United,” the Barrow manager confirmed. “They are going through a procedure at the minute with a lot of their young players in terms of ticking boxes for them next season.

“I will talk to Sheffield United before Saturday and Otis will be a massive part of that discussion.

“The last time I spoke to the lad, he still wasn’t 100 per cent with his groin, but he would be a really positive addition to our squad for the next month or until the end of the season.”

He added: “I’ve got a good relationship with Sheffield United and there are other players I have spoken with them about.

“There are also a lot of players I have spoken about with a lot of clubs who are higher up the ladder.

“I’m talking about players all the time, but the market at the minute is very stale and a lot of the movement and the players I have spoken about, we are going to have to be patient for a bit of movement above us, with other players going into their club, before the players I’ve highlighted become available.”
