BARROW AFC manager Adam Murray says scenes after last weekend’s win felt more like a release of frustration rather than celebration.
The Bluebirds grabbed their first win of the National League season as they beat Sutton United 3-0 at Holker Street on Saturday.
Fans, players and even the manager himself looked to enjoy themselves at the final whistle.
But Murray told BBC Radio Cumbria it was more than just celebrating.
He said: “We are building a football club here, we are not just coming back from a relegation.
“We are building a football club from scratch, so when you do get victories, it means an awful lot.
“I think we saw the outpour of what was a release of frustration more than anything.
“From the supporters, from the players, from the staff, from myself, but we want more of that.
“I said after the game that should be the norm.
“For me personally, I’m used to that feeling, I’m used to winning, I’m not used to losing football matches, so it was nice to get back to feeling normal.”
