BARROW AFC manager Pete Wild has previewed his side's clash with Graham Alexander's 'aggressive' Bradford City.

The Bluebirds will be looking to get back to winning ways against the West Yorkshire outfit after losing their third consecutive League Two game last time out against Salford City.

Bradford City, on the other hand, are a team in form, winning their last three in a row, including victories against MK Dons and Wrexham, and have only lost one of their last six.

Ahead of the clash with Alexander's Bantams, Wild discussed what he is expecting from the Bluebirds' opponents and discussed what he made of them after attending their 1-0 EFL Trophy semi-final defeat on Wednesday night.

He said: "We were at the game against Wycombe, we know they are very much like a lot of teams recently where it has been about getting the ball forward, dropping on second balls, being aggressive, physical, getting the ball wide and in the ball.

"It is very systematic of what we are seeing from a lot of teams as the pitches have turned so it is going to be an aggressive type of game where we are going to have to defend our own box well and we will have to win first and second contacts and drop on second balls.

"Then we need to really be Barrow. We were looking at them and thinking that this is a really good opportunity for us to be the best version of Barrow on Saturday."

Barrow took on Alexander's Bradford City in the Bantams' boss' first game in charge in November and whilst Wild believes there is little in terms of tactics that his side can take from their 2-1 victory at Valley Parade, he emphasised the need to match their opponent's intensity at Holker Street.

He said: "It was Graham's first game, so there was not a lot to take from it, but the one thing that we did take from it is that we matched their intensity and we went toe-to-toe with them and we know that is going to be a key part of the game on Saturday.

"They are a really aggressive, front-footed side and they get after you, so I think that is going to be a key part of the game on Saturday, matching their intensity."
