BARROW AFC left-back Junior Tiensia is still facing a 'three or four-week' wait before his return from a long-term injury.

The 23-year-old full-back who joined the Bluebirds from Solihull Moors in the summer had his flying start to life in South Cumbria cut short in October when he picked up an ankle injury in Barrow's 2-2 draw with MK Dons.

Tiensia underwent surgery on this injury in November and continues to recover ahead of a potential return at the beginning of March.

Barrow travel to the Penninsula Stadium to take on Karl Robinson's Salford City in their latest League Two clash and ahead of this awayday, Wild provided an update on the left-back's condition and the availability of his wider squad.

He said: "The squad is all fine, obviously Junior is still on the road to recovery and the only other one is Jamie's ban so they are the only two that will miss out.

"We are about three to four weeks away with Junior, he has done a lot of his running stuff  and he is onto change of direction so that is great news for him and hopefully that process continues for him."

Wild also discussed his excitement ahead of potentially being able to welcome Tiensia back into the first team picture in the coming weeks.

He said: "I am really looking forward to having him back in. He had such an impact when he was in the team at the start of the season so having him back around the place will certainly help for competition."
