PETE Wild has emphasised the importance of Barrow AFC supporters getting behind his side ahead of their clash with Notts County.

The Bluebirds travel to Meadow Lane to take on Stuart Maynard's Magpies off the back of a bump in their form which has seen them draw three and lose two of their last six league games.

Despite this blip, Barrow have been fervently supported home and away by the Holker Street faithful and were boosted last week by a collection of volunteers helping the club to ensure that their match against Crewe went ahead despite adverse weather conditions.

Ahead of their trip to Nottingham, Wild issued a rallying cry to his side's supporters.

He said: "We are looking forward to seeing you all at the weekend. Another away trip at a really good ground.

"We are certainly honed into making sure our levels are better than last weekend and hopefully for the run-in now, over the next few months we are going to need you and we appreciate your support."
