BARROW AFC boss Pete Wild has said that he is expecting his side to move past their 'little bump' in form ahead of their clash with Notts County.

The Bluebirds have drawn three and lost two of their last six League Two fixtures, a far cry from their form in the latter months of 2023, which included a run of 14 games without defeat.

However, whilst Wild admitted that the Bluebirds 3-1 defeat at the hand of Lee Bell's Crewe Alexandra last time out was frustrating he expressed his confidence that his side will move past this blip in the coming weeks.

He said: "Your levels need to be high and everybody needs to be on it and we dropped a little bit below that on Saturday which was frustrating but it happens to every team.

"You try and sustain those levels for 10 and a half months but it is nigh on impossible so we are going to find these little blips and I talk about bumps in the road a lot and I think unfortunately it is our little bump at the moment but in that, we have had loads of draws.

"I wouldn't see it as a disaster but it is just one of those times where we are finding it hard to get over the line but I am sure over the next couple of weeks we will be back to normal."

Wild's side face a Notts County side under the stewardship of former Wealdstone boss Stuart Maynard for the first time at Meadow Lane in their next league test and ahead of this fixture, Wild explained how it is the perfect opportunity for his side to finish a tough January.

He said: "We always knew that December and January would be the two toughest months of the season and we had talked about slogging through those months and picking up as many points as we can then will be out the other side and I still firmly believe that.

"We have got one game to go in January and it is still all to play for and I think we are in a really good position.

"Now we need to go and express ourselves against a really tough Notts County."
