BARROW AFC youngster Sam Bellis has joined National League side Kidderminster Harriers until the end of the season, the club has confirmed.

The 21-year-old joined Pete Wild's Bluebirds in the summer having spent time in the Manchester City and Southampton academies.

Since joining Barrow's B Team, Bellis has featured in a number of first-team matchday squads and made three appearances for the first team this season.

Bellis has also been a fixture in the Bluebirds' B Team where he has shown his qualities in front of goal and has netted four goals in just three matches.

Barrow's sporting director, Iain Wood, speaking to the club's media, said: "It’s a great opportunity for young Sam to go out and play games at a level that will test him.

"Sam has all the tools to kick on during this loan spell.

"We have all seen the ability he possesses in training and hopefully, he’ll be able to showcase this talent in the National League."

Kidderminster Harriers are currently bottom of the Vanarama National League and have lost four of their last five games.
