BARROW AFC have been told to take their potentially 'career changing' FA Cup opportunity by boss Pete Wild.
The Bluebirds take on George Elokobi's Maidstone United at the Gallagher Stadium and look to advance to the third round for the first time since the 2021/22 season.
Ahead of the clash, Wild has described the impact that success in the FA Cup can have on those involved and urged his Barrow side to put themselves 'on the world stage' against the National League South side.
He said: "It's a big opportunity for both sides, financially and for each and every player that plays in the game to go and put themselves on the world stage.
"It can be career-changing. I know it can be career-changing because my career started with a win at Fulham in the FA Cup and that propelled my career to where it is today, so I know the importance of games like this.
"Financially and for each and every one of us, it can change your life."
