PETE Wild will have another opportunity to rotate his squad as Barrow AFC face Liverpool U21’s at the SO Legal Stadium tonight.
The Bluebirds come into the match in fine form at Holker Street having lost just one match at home in all competitions this season.
However, Barrow currently sit bottom of the EFL Trophy group table after losing their opening two fixtures against Blackpool and Morecambe.
To have a chance of progressing to the knockout stages of the tournament, they will need to win the match by three or more goals and then hope Blackpool beat rivals Morecambe by more than one goal next week.
The Bluebirds booked their place in the FA Cup Second Round with an impressive 3-1 win away to Northampton Town on Saturday and are on the cusp of the play-off places in Sky Bet League Two.
Their opponents sit in 8th position in the Premier League 2 and are without a win in their last four matches.
