A DEDICATED football officer took part in some coaching to break down barriers between children and police.
Working in partnership with the Barrow AFC community team, Cumbria Police's football officer PC Rickie Wallbank attended the Ormsgill multi-use games area to take part in some coaching and a game of football.
A spokesman for Cumbria Police said: "The purpose of these regular sessions is to break down barriers between the children and the police, for Barrow AFC to reach out to the local community and of course to give young people exercise, fun and activities.
"We took the liberty of checking in with the children following this latest event and they tell be in terms of his football skills Rickie was less Ricky Villa and more Ricky Gervais."
