Forest Green boss Rob Edwards wants his side refreshed and ready to take on Barrow AFC in a 'tough game' tonight.

The League Two leaders continued their impressive start to the season with a 3-1 win at Hartlepool on Saturday.

The Gloucestershire outfit are two points clear at the top of the table and already five clear of the play-off places.

After back-to-back away wins, Forest Green now start a run of home fixtures against the Bluebirds.

Head coach Edwards says it is important his side put on a show in front of their own supporters.

“It will be great to be back in front of our fans and great to see everyone back at home on Tuesday,” he said.

“We’ve got to recover well and get ready to go, because it’s going to be a tough game.”

Edwards said his side’s first-half showing at Pools was as well as they have played all season.

They went in at the break three goals to the good, before conceding a late consolation.

“We had some great control throughout and dominated the first half,” he said.

“We were brave with the ball and created lots of opportunities.”

Former Bluebirds player Callum Gribbin has joined non-league side Radcliffe FC.

The attacking midfielder, who was with Barrow last season, joins another former AFC man in Chris Taylor at the Northern Premier League club.

The 22-year-old former Manchester United prospect Gribbin made five appearances for Barrow last season.
