IN a thrilling game at Kelland Park, Dalton lost out to Ulverston with the match in the balance right up to the final whistle.

With Ulverston leading at half-time by 20 points to 12, Dalton came out after the break with tries coming from Harry Gordon, Matt Brown, Tom Sharp, Jack Crarey and Jack Steel kicked three goals with Crarey also kicking.

But it was not enough as Connor Saunders lead the way for Ulverston with two tries and landed three conversions. Mike Dean, Matt Storey and Kieran Potter were the other try scorers.The final score being Dalton 28 - 30 Ulverston.

Barrow Island travelled to Egremont and came away with a hard-earned win, taking the spoils 22 points to 16.

In a tight first half the Island were in front 10 points to six at half time.

They kept up the pressure playing some fast, open rugby in the second half, Barrow Island try scorers were Joe Spencily, Ady Wright, Arron McKewan and Adam Jackson with Sam Jones landing three goals.

In a high-scoring game, Hindpool came away from Wigan St Pats with a 48 points to 20 victory. In the early exchanges Hindpool had to soak up a lot of pressure before settling down to play some great, fast, open rugby. Leading 28-4 at half time they were always in command with Paul Rickton, Charlie Crawford, Lewis Stable, Conner McDermott and Jack Osmand all scoring tries.

Hensingham took the spoils against Millom, but the Woolybacks put a good second half performance after being 30-10 down at half time - losing out 36-26. Niall Harris, John Hodgson Kyle Evans, Austin Mossop and Rio McQuiston all crossed the whitewash for Millom with Jack Newbiggin kicking three goals.

In the Barrow and District League, Barrow Island were crowned champions after defeating a depleted Walney side by 34 points to 12.
