Barrow Raiders boss Paul Crarey was delighted to hear that star half-back Jamie Dallimore escaped a ban following his sending off against Doncaster.

Playmaker Dallimore was dismissed before half-time following a tackle on Dons centre Daniel Bravo in Raiders' 31-6 win.

But when the disciplinary sat on Thursday they agreed he had no case to answer.

Crarey said: “I am delighted with the verdict. My view on the matter was it didn't deserve a red card.

"With his record it could have gone the other way and we would have been looking down the barrel at a four or five-match ban."

The RFL received a letter from Bravo suggesting that there was no intent to do damage.

Crarey will finalise his 17-man squad today with new recruit Gary Wheeler in contention to make his debut while Mark Tyson and Declan Hulme have been given the green light to return.

However, Danny Morrow has family commitments and is ruled out.

Crarey added: “Danny had a massive game last week – his best in a Barrow jersey – but we now have cover for what will be a tough game at Keighley."
