CUMBRIA League leaders Barrow Island face their toughest task of the season when they entertain Egremont Rangers at Rating Lane. The game will see the official opening of their new pitch after several years in the waiting.

Island have successive wins over Askam and Millom, but the West Cumbrians will be a test to see how far Shaun Corrie's boys have come.

Joe Spenceley is available following a dislocated finger with Jack Sutherland also back in contention. However, injuries rule out Josh McBain, Scott Hadwin and Spencer Hoyland.Mini rugby takes place prior to the big game and Dude's Dough are supplying the catering.

Askam's game with Kells has been called off due to Covid in the Fallowfield Park camp.

In the NWML,Ulverston travel to Latchford Albion (Warrington) and welcome back Eric Hill and Andy McKie.

Coach Dave Clarke said "We are on a roll, four wins on the trot, if we can win this one we can go joint top."

Dalton are also on the road, they travel to Bury Broncos and welcome back Ben Atkinson from Askam while Brad Richards and Harri Brown are expected to have recovered from knee problems, and are in contention along with Evan Jones.

Hindpool will learn later today (Friday) if they are to travel to Bold Miners, they have a long injury list and await calls from several players.
