BARROW AFC bosses have confirmed Rob Kelly has now left after an agreement was reached allowing him to pursue an opportunity with another club.
Having finished the 2020/21 season in temporary charge of First Team affairs at Barrow, assistant manager Kelly informed the Board that he did not wish to be considered for the manager’s job on a permanent basis.
The club has e received an approach from another club and, following negotiations, have agreed to pay Barrow full compensation for his services.
Chairman Paul Hornby has paid tribute to the excellent work undertaken by Kelly and his team.
“We can’t thank Rob enough for everything that he did for our club,” he said.
“He is one of the most genuine and honest people you could ever meet, and I know we’ll always remain good friends.
“Rob is welcome back at Barrow any time and we wish him well in the future.”
