Newbarns Primary School PE teacher Elliot Newby will be facing Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers tonight in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s Wolves side will be travelling to Chorley FC’s Victory Park looking to put an end to their fairytale cup run.

Newby has played a key role for the National League North side as they have surpassed numerous Football League sides.

In the previous round, Newby assisted Chorley’s second goal as Jamie Vermiglio’s team defeated a youthful Derby County side 2-0 at Victory Park.

This was the third Football League side that Chorley had beaten in the FA Cup this season.

In the first round, Newby started a magnificent comeback against local rivals Wigan Athletic at the DW Stadium.

After going 2-0 down, a second-half Newby reply kickstarted a famous 3-2 Chorley win, which was sealed in extra time.

However, in the second round, Chorley did not need extra time to beat League One Peterborough United as they recorded a 2-1 win away at the Western Homes Stadium.

Now, Newby and Chorley will be facing an even greater challenge against a side which finished seventh in the Premier League last season.

The away side come into the game with just one win out of their last seven matches in all competitions and will be desperate to ensure there is no slip up.

If Chorley record another giant-killing this evening, a potential fifth-round home tie against 14-time winners Arsenal could await them.
