CONISTON have claimed the title of county champions after winning the 2020 Cumbria Cup.
The end of season tournament was held at Barrow's Hawcoat Park on the club's all-weather floodlit tennis courts completed earlier in the year.
Four representative teams from the county went head to head, with twenty four players serving up spellbinding tennis throughout the afternoon, with notable cameos from Seascale’s Rob Brown, Coniston’s ‘player of the year’, Mike Code and the Wanderers’ pairing Adi Begam and Lewis Freislick, who produced a great performance against the eventual winners, almost snatching the title at the end.
