Former Championship star Chris Taylor has bolstered David Dunn’s Barrow AFC squad.
The experienced former Oldham and Blackburn man signed a short term deal at Holker Street ahead of the Bluebirds’ EFL Trophy clash with Leeds Under-21s.
The 33-year-old midfielder had been training with Barrow and manager Dunn expects Taylor to add some pedigree to his side as they continue their adaptation to League Two.
Taylor has bags of experience from a long career which start at Oldham and has also seen spells at Millwall, Bolton and Bradford, as well as last season with Dunn’s previous club Blackpool.
“Chris has done really well in training,” said Dunn.
“He’s looked really lively and I already know him from playing alongside him at Blackburn so I know how good a footballer he is.
“He’s got experience, he’s got a good energy and that makes him great to have around the place.
“I am delighted he’s joining us at the start of what we are hoping will be an exciting week.”
Taylor will wear number 28.
