Some of the bookies believe David Dunn's charges can win promotion from League Two at the first time of asking - offering odds on going up at as little as 7/1.

With the new fixtures coming out today, the early season odds on promotion and relegation are starting to be published.

Many of the early season predictions from the bookies can usually be drastically wrong, however a number of given Barrow a chance of promotion, with prices ranging from 15/2, to 8/1 and 12/1.

Bolton Wanderers, now managed by Barrow title winning boss Ian Evatt, have been instilled as the bookies favourites to go on and win the title.

Odds for Wanderers to be crowned champions are sitting at around 5/1, with Salford City, themselves having only played in the Football League for a handful of years, in as second favourites at 7/1.

Mansfield are also tipped to be one of the front runners, with The Stags price at 10/1.

And elsewhere Exeter City, who missed out in this year's play offs, are priced at 14/1 to go one better this coming season.
