Bluebirds’ manager David Dunn had the chance to run the rule over a number of trialists in his side’s narrow 2-1 pre-season defeat to Blackpool.
A late goal from the Tangerines’ Matty Virtue denied Dunn’s side a credible draw in this afternoon's clash at Bloomfield Road.
However Dunn would have been impressed how his side, which included a host of their new signings alongside a strong of trialists, faired against League One opposition.
After Blackpool took the lead in the first half, Barrow rallied and enjoyed a number of good spells.
Dior Angus got his side back in the game midway through the second period, and almost edged his side in front soon after.
But just as the game was looking like it would end in a draw, Virtue found space to fire beyond the Barrow goalkeeper eight minutes from the end.
