THE new strip set to be worn by Raiders has been given the backing of the Rugby Football League.

More than 1,000 replica shirts have already been sold after the club decided to show its support for frontline workers on its strip.

The club revealed over the weekend that the RFL has now given its approval to the strip which will be worn by players from the first game back.

A club spokesman said: "Some amazing news...

"We have had approval from the RFL for our playing strip for the first game back."

Raiders have also revealed that all key workers will be given free entry to the team's first game when matches re-start.

The RFL suspended the 2020 season in March after the outbreak of coronavirus.

As of yet no clear date has been set for when the campaign will resume although there have been suggestions promotions and relegations will be suspended between the three professional leagues.

When the league was suspended shortly after it started Barrow had won their first two games in Betfred League 1.

The club thanked its main sponsors who would normally feature on the shirt: Advanced Roofing, Cure it, Furness Park, Matt Johnson Prestige, HSP Milners and Parker Technical Services.
