Barrow Raiders were made to wait an extra week to start their season
Barrow Raiders' 2020 season will get underway this afternoon after their Coral Challenge Cup tie against London Skolars beat Storm Dennis.
Storm Ciara forced the match to be called off last week and with heavy rain and high winds forecast again, there were fears it could be postponed again.
However, the pitch at Craven Park managed to absorb a battering and was judged on Sunday morning to be fit enough to play on.
A fourth round tie at Betfred Championship side Featherstone Rovers is at stake for the Raiders, who go into the game against the Skolars (which kicks off at 3pm) as favourites.
