Manager Ian Evatt believes everyone involved at Barrow AFC deserves credit for the position they find themselves in ahead of what will be a crucial batch of fixtures.

The Bluebirds made a significant statement in the National League promotion race by battling past fourth-placed Bromley last Saturday to make it 15 games unbeaten in all competitions.

It also kept them three points clear at the top of the table with two games in hand on the teams directly below them and Evatt feels the fact that everyone is chipping in at the club will make them very difficult to shift from their perch.

He said: "This isn't just about me, it's not just about the players, it's about everybody - Peter [Atherton], my assistant, Lewis [Duckmanton], my analyst-stroke-goalkeeping coach, the physios, all the backroom team, the board, the fans.

"It's all of together and we need everybody, including the groundsman, and Saturday was a message to the rest of the league and the rest of the country that Barrow aren't going away.

"We're going to be relentless in what we do and it's going to take a good team to stop us, I can tell you that."

Two tough away games are on the horizon for AFC, with Saturday's opponents Boreham Wood the only team whose own form comes close to that of Evatt's men, while Solihull will be battling to ensure their automatic promotion hopes don't fade away entirely.

Evatt said: "They're difficult games. I think a lot of Luke [Garrard], the Boreham Wood manager - I think he's a very good young manager and they're a good team who had a fantastic result at Solihull on Saturday, and then we've got Solihull.

"They're two big games, this league is relentless, it's unforgiving and you can go on good runs and bad runs, but we've got to make sure we maintain our performance levels."
