Barrow Island have been given a tough draw in the second round of the Coral Challenge Cup, as they will be travelling to York Acorn.

The Acorn play in the Premier Division of the National Conference League, two levels above Island, who thrashed Welsh side Rhondda Outlaws 84-6 in round one last Saturday, which marked their first tie in the competition since 2005.

York reached this stage of the Cup by defeating Hammersmith Hill Hoists 36-14 and are aiming to reach the third round for the second season running. They were defeated by Askam in round one in 2018.

The tie will take place at Thanet Road, York, on the weekend of January 25/26.
