The Furness Premier League is shaping up to be a tough one to call after Hawcoat Park reserves leapfrogged Kirkby United into second place following a 6-1 win last Saturday.

Carl Pearson helped himself to all six goals for Hawcoat, while Mitchell Smith scored Kirkby’s consolation.

Vickerstown reserves remain top of the table after a 2-0 win against Walney Island reserves, with Joe Green scoring both their efforts.

Croftlands Park came out 5-4 winners at Swarthmoor Social, with Isaac Prosser (2), Ben Mooney, Jamie Slater and Lewis Jones all on target.

Haverigg United and Barrow Celtic shared the spoils after a 1-1 draw. Jamie Cairns scored for Haverigg, while Jono France replied for Celtic.

Holker Old Boys reserves hammered Dalton United reserves 7-1 at Rakesmoor Lane thanks to goals from Jordan Brough (4), Conor Erdis and Sol Stanway.

Division Two leaders Coniston picked up another three points with a 6-0 win against Barrow Wanderers reserves thanks to goals from David Sewell (2), Callum Bircher (2), Mike Thistlethwaite and Ed Simpson.

Britannia reserves are second in the table and they beat Bootle reserves 4-1, with Dillon James (2), Joe Laughlin and Jordan Umar on target and Tom Millard replying for Bootle.

Haverigg United reserves beat Walney Island A 4-1 thanks to goals from Jake Batty (2), Mitch Stocks and Adam Jordan.

The game on the bottom pitch at Rakesmoor between Holker Old Boys A and Millom St James was abandoned after a serious leg injury to Jordan Nicholson.
