Barrow AFC midfielder John Rooney will be available for tomorrow night's game at Dagenham & Redbridge after his red card at Torquay United last Saturday was overturned.
Rooney was harshly sent off three minutes before half-time at Plainmoor when he was bizarrely deemed to have deliverately handled the ball in his own area whilst making a sliding tackle.
His absence in the middle of the park was keenly felt as the Bluebirds were eventually defeated 4-2 by the Gulls, ending a seven-game winning run in the National League.
Manager Ian Evatt made it clear in his post-match interview that AFC would be appealing the decision and now that has been successful, Rooney is free to face the Daggers at Victoria Road.
The 28-year-old has been a key figure for Barrow so far this season, scoring nine goals, which is only one off his tally from the whole of the last campaign.
