Furness are back at the Strawberry Grounds tomorrow as they take on South Lakes rivals Windermere in Cumbria Division One.

Both teams have been hit and miss this year, so there’s no doubt there will be some competition between them to get one over their rivals. After last week’s defeat away at Carlisle Crusaders, Furness will be looking to get back to winning ways.

Captain Corne Els has filled a few shirts this season but will hope to return to the pack and the back row this week to link up with Will Mallinson.

Mark Hall will be putting on a second row jersey with Chris Dalton, Cameron McClure and Grant Adams up front.

Adam Jackson will lead the back line, which will see Jordan Ashton, Dan Sayle and Alex Brown, to name a few, line up amongst it.

Windermere will be looking to use their big, strong running pack to get on top with captain Jonny Benson leading from No.8. He will be joined by Paul Mahler and the feisty Gregg Meschino in a great back row.

Jamie Hardman, Luke Todd and Tim Alderson make up a strong front row that is more than capable of upsetting most set-pieces, especially when they are pushed on by Paul Murphy and Josh Dawson in the second row.

Bertie Hodgson pulls the strings from fly-half as usual, with Liam McKinnon his link man at scrum-half. Moses Dawson returns to the wing, opposite Bobby Davis, with both more than capable of getting over the whitewash.

They will be looking for support from the centre in Josh Holmes and Dave Armstrong in defence and attack, along with Mark Fricker at full back. With a full bench, including Dan Harrison, this could be a belting game.

Millom welcome Carlisle Crusaders to Wilson Park as the Blues look to continue their great season. Young skipper Kieran Coulson is leading the troops well this season and with a front three of Ian Cummings, Steve Watson and Kieran Rogan, the team is in good hands.

Trevor Dixon and Danny Redhead make returns this week, which will be a massive lift for the side. Chris Park will be looking to come back as well, with Robbie Pattinson pulling the strings from scrum-half.

Sy Robertson will be looking for plenty of ball in their pursuit of points, along with Connor Penrith and Steven Forster. Final selection is to be confirmed, but Millom should be too strong for their northern counterparts.
