Hawcoat Park head across the South Lakes to Dawes Meadow this afternoon as the Ambers of Windermere look to try to get their show back on the road in Cumbria Division One.

With Hawcoat let down by Carlisle Crusaders, who couldn’t raise a team, last week and Windermere beaten on their travels at Workington, both teams will be keen to take the points this time out.

It’s business as usual up front this week for Windermere, as Jamie Hardman, Dan Harrison and Luke Todd take on the opposition front three.

Jonny Benson leads the squad from his now usual loose forward role and he is joined by Greg Meschino and Paul Mahler in the back row, which will be a key area in this game.

The back division sees Moses Dawson keep his full back jersey and he will try to pull the strings along with half-backs Liam Mckinnon and Bertie Hodgson.

For their part, Hawcoat are boosted by the return of a number of personnel, along with a new face pulling the strings, possibly from stand-off.

It’s all change in the half-backs with Jack Shannon returning at scrum-half to link up with new signing Brad Marwood, who is an excellent player on his day.

Colossi Mike Lightfoot and Callum Ramsey return to the back row alongside regular Alfie White.

The front three could have a number of bodies involved with props Scott Dobbie and John Donnan looking to see who gets the hooker shirt from Andy Kent, Brad Morrow and Adam Grainger with the second rows still to be confirmed.

Chris Burns in the centre will have either Will Coles or Jason Milby as his partner, looking for Benji Platt and Lewis Sayle to get involved in attack and defence.

Hawcoat Park A were soundly beaten away from home at Lostock last week, but on home turf they will be looking for their first win of the Halbro Division Four North set-up this season.

Skipper Peter Jennens will be aiming for not only an improved performance but better all-round play. Mikee Light had a great game last week, so will be hoping for more of the same, although he could get a first team call.

Stalwarts Ryan Brown and Martin Kennedy will lead going forward with Scott Garnett on hand to distribute good ball from the forwards.

Connor McDermott has put his hat in the ring to play, with Chris Milby also available this week with his strong running and ball carrying.

Joe Rea’s return was great to see and this week he will have Timothy Bielaczyc from USA to help with his mazy runs. Mike Gibson’s strength at the ruck will keep things tight for Jay Hill in the backs to score the points.
