Barrow's Liam Livingstone played two excellent innings in Division Two champions Lancashire's 104-run victory against Middlesex in the County Championship at Old Trafford.
Livingston top-scored with 84 in Lancashire's first innings total of 259, but the hosts had a deficit of 78 runs after Middlesex recovered brilliantly from 34-6 to post 337 all out in their reply, thank to a career-best 167 from John Simpson.
Opener Keaton Jennings helped the hosts back into the game with a superb 97, while he shared a fourth-wicket stand worth 147 with Livingstone, who made an important 68.
With Lancashire bowled out for 347, Middlesex were set a target of 270 to win, but were soon reduced to 3-3 and this time their lower order couldn't bail them out.
Martin Andersson was the last man out for a brave 83, as the visitors were bowled out for 165 during the evening, with Tom Bailey taking 5-41 with what was his second five-wicket haul of the match.
