In Division Two of the National Conference League, Askam cruised to a 32-16 win over Clock Face Miners at Fallowfield Park.

Try of the match went to Tom Askew, who raced in from his own line while others came from Sam Broadley (2) and Alex Brailsford. Teenage half-back Zac Steel took on the goal kicking duties and was on target eight times.

In Division Three, Millom put their poor home form behind them to complete the double over with a 26-20 victory over Eastmoor Dragons away in Yorkshire.

Ross Brooks made a welcome return with a brace of tries while Connor Terrill also touched down. Adam Kelly was on target with seven goals, including three conversions and four penalties.

Barrow Island trailed 18-12 at the break in their Division Two encounter at East Leeds but hit back in the second period to run out 24-22 winners.

Two tries from Ian Irvine plus a brace of goals from Sam Jones kept Island in the hunt at the break with a Ryan Clegg try goaled by Jones making it 18-18 minutes into the second half. An Adam Jackson try and Jones goal saw Island ahead for the first time at 18-24. Leeds crossed late only for the conversion to be missed.

Hindpool lost on the road 40-30 to Wigan St Patricks A in the North West Men’s Second Division, with their tries coming from Jonny Griffiths, Cameron Hayton, Josh Bayliss and Josh Archer, with two goals from Grant Burns.

Walney were crushed 70-0 at Haydock in the Premier division while in Division Three, Lewis Sayle made a try-scoring debut for Roose Pioneers who went down 32-22 at Bamber Bridge.

Jack Torkington crossed for a brace with one coming from Saul Docherty. Steve Perry, back following along absence, added three goals.
