While Georgia Stanway competes at the ongoing Women’s World Cup, her fellow Barrovian Aimee Everett has a fresh challenge ahead of her after signing for Leicester City Women from Liverpool.
The 17-year-old has become the Foxes’ first summer signing and will be competing in the FA Women’s Championship, the second tier of women’s football in England.
Everett, whose first club was Blackburn Rovers, helped Liverpool win the FA WSL Development title last season while she has also represented England at under-17 and under-18 level.
She played in last year’s Women’s European under-17 Championship in Lithuania, where England finished fourth.
Everett said: "I wanted to come to Leicester City because the Club and Jonathan [Morgan’s] philosophy both fitted with my style of play. His involvement and trust in youth really enticed me to come to this Club and I want to test myself in a big league.”
