On Sunday, Cumbria and Westmorland play their first game of the 2019 season against a strong Yorkshire side. The home leg will be played at Roose Cons with the game commencing at 2pm.
Still a fledgling team, the Cumbria and Westmorland squad have performed with great credit, just missing out on a semi final place the last two years.
Its a quick return to the Roose green, as they played their final game on it last year where they defeated a Derbyshire team expecting to win comfortably, with a squad with experience on the green they will be hoping to cause another shock on Sunday.
The match ups are as follows:
S Price v C Hebberd, M Curwen v Lawrence, M Clegg v A Brine, P Kissock v A Wolfenden, R Allen v C Bedford, S Aspinall v A Wilder, P Thompson v L Cooper, G Wood v P Rooks, P Lewis v D Upton, M Johnson v N Mylan, J Richardson v C Scorah, P Curwen v A Hodgson.
At the same time as this game is being played a corresponding fixture will be taking place at the notoriously difficult Pudsey green in Yorkshire.
The Cumbria and Westmorland squad for the away leg is as follows.
James Dennison, Matty Stewart, Callum Baxter, Dave Brown, David Cragg, Paul Dennison, Dave Fisher, James Duffin, Steve Greenway, Barry Simm, John Reilly, Tom Dennison.
