ANOTHER superb home win against Cockermouth last Saturday saw Hawcoat Park climb the Cumbria League One table, writes Jason Meadows.

Not only that, but it sets them up well for another of the tough nuts in the division to crack when they head to Aspatria tomorrow.

Continuity is key in this league, so with only a couple of changes in personnel the Maroon & Whites must fancy their chances in this battle.

Andy Kent, Adam Grainger and big John Donnan will look to get on top of their opposition in the front row this week, with Callum Ramsey moving up to the second row to join Jack Sutherland in what looks like a strong partnership on paper.

Brad Morrow returns to the back row, and runs out alongside Mike Lightfoot and Grady Slater, who will all be looking to be first to the breakdown.

Injury to James Howden sees Jack Shannon come in at scrum-half, with family member Scott Kaighan pulling the string from fly-half.

Will Coles and Glenn Kaighan are aiming for a return to the team on the wings, with Hawcoat skipper George Smith and Chris Burns inside them at centre.

Regular full-back Benji Platt brings the team up from the rear at full-back in what looks a competitive team for the trip north.

Hawcoat go with a strong bench too, with Paul Woodburn, Rory Sayle and new face Jamie Curtis filling the squad.
