THIS Christmas I, Bald Foodie Guy, tried a festive treat with my own special twist.

Christmas Dinner Pizza was the item on the menu, and I bought it from Asda for just £3.50.

The labels reads: "Tis the season for our turkey feast pizza with tomato sauce, cheese, pigs in blankets and sage and onion stuffing balls. after baking finish off with a drizzle of cranberry sauce."

I just had to buy it didn't I.

It's a thin crust pizza and it has the quirky addition of being shaped like a Christmas tree.

There was plenty of toppings on it, Asda really don't scrimp with their toppings - wow!

The pizza was too big for the air fryer, so this one went into the oven - it only takes nine to 11 minutes in a preheated oven, so it's perfect for those days where you don't want to wait very long to tuck into your dinner.

Now I love mint sauce and gravy on a Christmas dinner, and that's what that pizza didn't have. So while it was in the oven I made up some gravy to pour over the top, and got the mint sauce out of the cupboard.

I used Asda's own meat gravy granules and added some malt vinegar and black pepper to give it a whole new flavour.

I know that putting gravy on pizza is going to be controversial, but I've had a pizza from Asda before where there was a gravy sachet to pour on top, and I tell you what, it was an absolute game changer.

After getting the pizza out of the oven I used every last drop of the cranberry sauce, I wouldn't want to waste any of that!

Next I put on just a smidge of mint sauce and I finished it off with gravy. I wasn't messing around here.

It was a miserable day, raining and cold and this is what I needed to warm me up.

The base of the pizza was lovely and soft - I was expecting it to be really hard and crispy but it's not. I quite like deep pan pizzas but what was not to love about this one.

The stuffing was absolutely spot on as well, that was my kind of stuffing.

I like the very basic kind, I've had it in the past with stuffing with chest nuts in and all sorts, and I just don't like it.

The pig in blankets were delicious and the turkey looked a bit dry but was actually quite tasty.

Give this pizza a go, it is really lovely.

It's salty, it's cheesy, and I would absolutely buy this again.

I'm going to have to give this one top marks.
