TWO fire crews were called to a flat on Walney, after cooking had been left unattended.
Firefighters from Barrow and Walney were dispatched to Cote Ley Crescent at around 1pm today and had to force entry to the property.
On arrival, the firefighters discovered a smoke-logged property as cooking had been left unattended by the occupant.
The crews removed the food and ventilated the kitchen.
The alarm had been raised by a neighbour.
