A CHARITY which provides horse riding sessions for youngsters with disabilities is holding a fundraising gala evening.
Furness Riding for the Disabled Association is holding the event at Cartmel Racecourse on Friday March 31.
The guest speaker is John Sexton, chairman of The British Thoroughbred Retraining Centre and racing journalist. Music entertainment is by Steve Silver. Auctioneer Howard Whitaker will oversee the auction. There is also a grand prize draw.
Gala tickets are £45 per person, including a welcome drink and three-course dinner. The tables seat 10 people. Tickets are available from June Chapman on 01229 716479, or junechapman1@hotmail.com
Furness RDA works with youngsters with a range of disabilities. The sessions at Seaview Riding School, Walney, provide physio, enjoyment and a bond with the ponies.
