AN investigation into a report that a military device has washed ashore on Walney has come to an end.
Coastguard teams launched an investigation yesterday afternoon after a member of the public reported that an item of "ordnance" had surfaced at Earnse Bay.
Teams were waiting for the tide to go out to see if they could locate the object but nothing has been found.
